Kevin James Knipfing, better known as Kevin James is an American comedian, actor and screenwriter.

Kevin was born in Mineola, New York on April 26 1965. He is the second son of Janice and Joseph Valentine Knipfing. Janet worked as an office worker and Joseph owned an Insurance Agency.
James is the brother of also known Comedian Gary Valentine. He graduated from Ward Melville Highschool.
During high school he was a wrestler but a back injury finished his run and his teammate Mick Foley who became a professional wrestler took the first string position.
He later attended College at the State University of New York at Cortland and played football, but another back injury ended his sport hopes.
